About us

Our antiquarian with antique maps and prints was founded in 1982.
At the moment of foundation owner Hans van der Ben, as a lover of old maps and prints (especially antique townplans and townviews), had already gained knowledge for a decade through his contacts with antique dealers, acadamics on cartography, other collectors of antique maps and prints and by study of literature.

One never gets finished in the study of antique maps and prints, and what makes it even more fascinating is the fact it is so connected to the history of trade and shipping.

We started our business by organising sales-exhibitions for antique maps and prints in our region.
For the last 12 years we have manifested ourselves and our antiquarian in well known hotels in several towns in the country.
On account of these activities we have set up a clientele throughout the Netherlands.

At the moment our goal is to participate more and more in excellent antique fairs and, with the possibilities of internet, we extend our clientele to other countries.
Throughout the years the assortment of antique maps, prints and related items we have in stock has grown considerably and at present it includes the following:
